NEXUS Program

NEXUS is a joint Canada-United States program designed to expedite border crossings for pre-approved, low-risk travelers. Participants in the NEXUS program undergo a thorough background check and in-person interview. Once approved, they receive a NEXUS card that allows them to use dedicated lanes and kiosks at border crossings, airports, and marine ports of entry.

Etymology:

The term “NEXUS” is derived from the Latin word “nexus,” meaning “connection” or “link,” reflecting the program’s goal of facilitating connected and efficient border crossings.
